Have you ever wondered, what is the key to a healthy body?
Or, where does disease come from?
And, more importantly, how can I prevent or reverse it?
Excerpted from one of my favorite books, Ask And It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks, this exercise is designed to show you how easy it is to allow your body to reclaim its natural state of well-being.
If you can do this simple technique for 15 minutes a day, you will see significant improvement in any health condition you’re experiencing.
So often we try to interfere with the body’s innate healing ability–whether it be with our mind, focusing on doubt and fear, or whether it be with drugs, or other interventions.
In my years of studying health and disease and the human body, one thing I know for sure is that each cell in our body is highly intelligent.
I have always believed that one of the reasons why acupuncture works so well is that it allows the patient to finally relax, shut down the mind, and allow their body to heal itself in the best, most effective way it knows how.
Here’s the exact step-by-step method to reclaim your natural state of health:
1) Find a place where you can lie comfortably without being disturbed for at least 15 minutes.
2) Write down this list of phrases and read them to yourself when you first lie down:
It is natural for my body to be well.
Even if I don’t know what to do in order to get better, my body does.
I have trillions of cells with individual consciousness, and they know how to achieve their individual balance.
When this condition began, I didn’t know what I know now.
If I had known then what I know now, this condition couldn’t have gotten started.
I don’t need to understand the cause of this illness.
I don’t need to explain how it is that I’m experiencing this illness.
I have only to gently, eventually, release this illness.
It doesn’t matter how it got started because it’s reversing its course right now.
It’s natural that it would take some time for my body to begin to align to my improved thoughts of well-being.
My only work is to relax and breathe.
3) Now relax and lie there, focusing on the in and out of your breathing. Your goal is to be as comfortable as possible. Do not try to force anything to happen. You may start to feel a softening or gentle sensations in your body — this is the healing process taking place. Just relax and allow it.
