I’m reading a wonderful book right now by Danielle LaPorte called The Fire Starter Sessions. She talks about what it takes to light the fire in your life to be your best self, whether it’s your health, relationships, career, or all of the above.
“I dream of invitations that humble me, and magical connections with people I recognize on a cellular level. I dream that we band together to leverage change. I dream of feeling more electric and sweet every single day. Mostly, I dream of being amazed. How ’bout you?”
Too often we settle. We don’t feel our best, but we’re used to it or think it’s “normal.” We don’t feel fulfilled by our work, but it’s paying the bills. Maybe somewhere deep inside we don’t feel like we deserve to be healthy, wealthy, or happy. That our dream is impossible.
Ask yourself, what’s holding me back from living an extraordinary life? What’s preventing me from taking the necessary steps to reach my goals?
I urge you to take the next step today, whatever it is for you. If it’s trying a new green vegetable, reading an inspiring book, finding the education you need to make your dream a reality, do it.
