Improve Your Digestion With These 3 Simple Tips

Improve Your Digestion With These 3 Simple Tips

Welcome to Whole Woman Wednesday! Today’s topic is improving your digestion. In Chinese medicine, digestion is the main indicator that determines the state of your overall health. Many times, improving your health (or fertility, or immune system, or mood) starts with improving your digestion. A healthy digestion means that you don’t get gas, bloating, heartburn or feel sluggish after a meal, but rather feel energized and satiated. It also means having 2-3 well-formed bowel movements per day. When you’re digestive fires are burning at the optimal level, meaning your digestion is strong, you don’t experience strong cravings that aren’t good for you, like sweets, and greasy fried foods, and you are able to easily maintain a healthy weight. From a mental/emotional standpoint, a weak digestion in Chinese medicine means that you tend to worry, obsess, or overthink, and find it difficult to get moving, either physically or metaphorically. If any of this sounds familiar, today’s episode is for you! Click play above to learn my three favorite Chinese medicine tricks you can...

Are you waking up often between 1-3am? In today’s six minute video, you’ll learn my three favorite, little known Chinese Medicine tricks to sleep better tonight and every night. Plus, one bonus tip from one of my favorite spiritual teachers that will not only improve your sleep, it will also improve your life. And if you watch until the very end, there’s a blooper. Because I love bloopers. And I’m a dork. 😉 NOTE: All of...

How Healthy Boundaries Improve Fertility And Digestion

How Healthy Boundaries Improve Fertility And Digestion

It may sound strange, but setting healthy boundaries can actually improve your digestion and fertility, according to Chinese medicine. Many of the women I treat who struggle to conceive also have several food sensitivities and/or digestion issues. These women also tend to be what we call Earth-type people in Chinese medicine. However, all of us have Earth energy, no matter what our type. According to Chinese medicine, each of us is made up of the five elements: Earth, Fire, Metal, Water, and Wood. Each element corresponds to a different organ system in the body. The Earth element rules the digestion. Symbolically, the Earth element represents how we “digest” the world around us, in all aspects. When there is an imbalance in Earth energy, one of the ways this imbalance can manifest is by not being able to discern between “self” and “other” when foreign bodies enter into a woman’s system such as food or the DNA of her partner when trying to conceive. Both of these instances are examples...
